Law Student Biographies
Daniel Sharpe
Daniel Sharpe graduated with a degree in philosophy from the University of Nevada-Reno and is a member of the class of 2009 at the UC Davis School of Law. In addition to regular academic work at King Hall, He is a boardmember of the Humanitarian Aid Legal Organization (HALO), a student group that volunteers free legal aid over spring break. Daniel is also the secretary of the Black Law Student Association (BLSA).
"I am focused on criminal defense, particularly with respect to the death penalty. An undergraduate internship gave me an opportunity to see how defendants end up on death row. After my 1L year, I worked with the Office of the State Public Defender, doing appellate work to get death row inmates new trials."
"Studying the law can be difficult, but there is nothing more rewarding. When applying, you want your application to show that you understand how challenging law school is, but also that you are motivated and passionate enough to meet that challenge."

Ryan Wells
Ryan is originally from Middletown, Ohio. He graduated from Stanford University in 2003 with a double major in Sociology and Political Science. While at Stanford, he was a four year letterman on the Stanford Football Team.
Currently a third year law student at King Hall. Ryan is interested in criminal law and litigation. Next year he will begin his legal career as a District Attorney for Alameda County District Attorney's Office.
While in law school Ryan has been involved in the Black Law Students Association (BLSA), Trial Practice Honors Board, Business Law Journal,and Moot Court.
Words of Wisdom: Law school is very challenging and expensive, but it is worth it.
