Welcome New Winter 2010 Students!

Congratulations on your admittance to UC Davis. After you turn in your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR), please e-mail orientation@ucdavis.edu or call (530) 752-443 so that we can make arrangements for your New Student Orientation session. When communicating with our office, please indicate your name and student identification number.

What does Orientation provide?

Winter Orientation provides important information needed to understand how to succeed at UC Davis. The program will provide:

• An overview of steps to complete your transition to UC Davis.
• Critical campus resource information: housing, financial, health insurance, etc.
• Academic guidance to make appropriate course choices for Winter Quarter registration and an opportunity to meet with a peer advisor to create a class schedule.
• General information about key support services, academic expectations and Transfer-Reentry-Veterans (TRV) Services.
• An opportunity to meet current students and network with other new students.

How to prepare for your advising appointment

We advise that you begin reviewing your major in the UC Davis General Catalog and the Winter 2010 Class Schedule and Registration Guide. If you need a hard copies, you can order them online or at the UC Davis Bookstore.

Photo ID Cards

All students may have a UC Davis photo ID card produced starting January 4 at the Registrar's Office (12 Mrak Hall) during regular business hours:, Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. All students must have a valid driver’s license, or other form of valid photo ID, to have a UC Davis photo ID card produced.
