Financial Aid
The friendly staff at the Financial Aid Office can review your financial needs, determine the types of aid available, and help you plan a budget to meet your educational goals. To apply for financial aid at UC Davis, list UC Davis, school code 001313, on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and file it between January 1 and March 2. For faster, more accurate filing apply online at fafsa.ed.gov. Cal Grants are also available to help with your educational costs. For information about Cal Grants, visit the California Student Aid commission web site at csac.ca.gov.
UC Davis uses the UC Education Finance Policy to determine financial aid awards for undergraduates.
The policy establishes a cost of attendance, subtracts an Expected Family/Student Contribution and any federal or state aid awarded, and determines your eligibility for UC Grant.
With the exception of Cal Grants and UC Grant (which have an absolute deadline of March 2) you can apply for financial aid any time during the year. Direct Loans and Pell Grants are available to those who qualify. For students who do not qualify for need-based financial aid, Unsubsidized Loans and Direct PLUS (Parent Loans) and a Registration Fee Deferment Plan are also available. UC Davis Financial Aid notices are available online at financialaid.ucdavis.edu/eAwards beginning mid-March.
