Parking

Individuals who park a vehicle (including a motorcycle or moped) on campus, must display a valid parking permit or pay for time at a meter. Daily permits may be purchased from permit dispensers located in visitor parking lots. All other lots require long-term permits, which may be purchased at Parking Services, or online http://www.taps.ucdavis.edu/taps-store. Parking lots on campus are financed solely by fees collected from parking permits and meters. Parking Services is located on Extension Center Drive, south of Lot 30 (behind the Rec Pool). For visitor parking information, please consult the South Gate Kiosk on Old Davis Road or call TAPS at (530) 752-8277. Members of the campus community are encouraged to commute to campus by means other than a single-occupant vehicle (carpool, vanpool, transit, train, bicycle or walking). Call 752-MILE for information on alternative transportation options.

Shuttles. The UCD/UCDMC Shuttle provides hourly service Monday through Friday between the Davis campus and the medical center in Sacramento. The shuttle is available to all members of the UC Davis community. Shuttle passes may be purchased at Parking Services or the Cashier's Office. Departmental business passes are available at Parking Services.

Intracampus Bus. Provides transportation between the Davis campus and the Berkeley campus for university employees, registered students and other university affiliates. Call Fleet Services at 752-8287 for schedule, rate and reservations information.

Buses. Unitrans—seven bus lines operated by Associated Students of UC Davis (ASUCD)—serves the campus year round. Full service is provided free for registered students, each campus school day (Monday through Friday) and Monday through Thursday nights during the regular school year (fall, winter and spring quarters). Reduced-schedule bus service operates during the summer, finals week, and all academic break periods. Finals and break schedules are available during the last week of classes each academic quarter. Schedules are available at the MU Information desk, bus terminals, City Hall, Chamber of Commerce, Post Office, and Unitrans office. They can also be viewed online at http://unitrans.ucdavis.edu.
